GM! ☕️
Just one thing this week, and it’s fun…
I found this delight of a picture book:
It is silly, but also pretty smart:
“Depression is a many-faced beast (shout out to my boy Man-E-Faces)…check in with yourself on a regular basis.”
“Whether you’re binging-out on some new show or cleaning your eyeball collection, simple pleasures will take the strain from your daily life.”
“There is nothing like an animal companion to soothe you…The joy in having your skull licked by a sweet Machine puppy during Christmas season, a good day of riding across the scorched wasteland with your panther pal, even a quick check in with a friendly ol’ snake, can be just what you need to perk up and shake off the blues.”
Skeletor got me thinking about how some other baddies find ease:
Retail therapy works for the Wicked Witch of the West. (I don’t usually recommend this, but the exception proves the rule. 👠👠)
After a long day hating Care Bears, Professor Coldheart refreshes his icy spirit with a cold plunge.
When he isn’t turning Smurfs into gold, Gargamel finds solace in the Japanese art of kintsugi.
For Maleficent, peace is a moon ritual that grounds her in the divine feminine.
And I can smell Ursula’s THC-infused seaweed wrap from here. Go ahead, girl.
We’re all a little bad, and even the best person has their villain mode. May we also know the compassion and care that can transform our inner demons into angels.
😈🖤
With that, I’m signing off for two weeks of newsletter rest. I’ll be out of office the week of April 1 and will need the week of April 8 to catch up on client work.
Happy Easter to all who observe!
I’ll see you in your inbox on April 19.
