2. Learning to laugh
I’m listening to a series of philosophy lectures on humor, by Gettysburg College Professor Steven Gimbel. One tip from the course is that forced laughter (making your body “do laughter” without stimuli) can actually spark spontaneous levity. In fact, this is the idea behind laughter yoga. Yogi or not, laughter is something you can practice, when you need a refresher. And don’t we all, at this point?
3. Laughter and power
Something to think about in your next meeting: laughter has power contours.
4. Seriously
Yes, I am studying how to lighten up. Yes, I see the absurdity in that!
5. Laugh track
It’s contagious, you know…

Cville walk and talk – 1 spot left!
On Wednesday, 6/16, I will hold a walk and talk day in Charlottesville. This is a great opportunity for inexpensive 1-on-1 coaching. Each 45-minute session will take place while walking—JLP support with the added benefits of ditching your devices and getting some movement. We will depart from Ix Art Park, and you will set the pace. We can stroll, stretch, strut, or stride. Whatever you need.
